Mamaison Residence Izabella Budapest

Well this place is exceptional, not less. We stayed here 4 nights. And would stay more but they were fully booked. I am so happy I chose this place over some overpriced hotels with names. The apartment was renovated recently and it was extremely spacious. We felt like a royal family in it, not less. It was cleeeeean. I think the cleanest I ever saw and I saw my fare share of accommodations. The shampoo, gel and lotion smell were GORGEOUS. And the bed was huuuuuuge. We slept so well. My husband didn’t want to go sightseeing because guess what?… It felt so good staying at the apartment lol Ishtwan met us upon arrival to Budapest and was extremely hospitable. Smiling! Kind! Friendly! Half of Budapest service workers need a masterclass from Ishtwan on hospitality. Bernadetta was stunning. So easygoing, relaxed, unperturbed yet very helpful.

The apartment was very spacious, much more then we thought. Two large bedrooms and a large living room and kitchen area. The kitchen has many facilities, including a large refrigerator (much larger than usually seen at hotel rooms) . There are two bathrooms and showers, and everything was very clean. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was good, the inner courtyard is very nice. There is a metro station nearby, this metro line #1 takes you in a few minutes to the center (Deak Ferenc Ter area). If the hotel was located around that area it would be even better.

The staff was exceptionally polite and forthcoming, everything was as per expectations (or above expectations) including help with transport to/from airport. The accommodation was great, very nice, clean and quiet room with all the amenities provided. Hotel also has a lovely garden, 24/7 free coffee and tea. There's also an above-averagely equipped hotel gym (compared to usual hotel standards)

A great place to stay. Right in the heart of Pest part of the city. Well connected by metro, tram and bus. The place itself was very clean and squeaky. The best thing were the people at the front desk- Kristof and Viki (i am pretty sure I have not got the names right). They go out of the way to help you with anything. And they do it more than willingly and patiently. The breakfast spread is basic - breads, fruits, muffins, eggs, sausages, juices, tea and coffee. Though basic, it was quite tasty.

The hotel apartment was huge (compared to what we are used to and too big really for our use) with lots of kitchen facilities, e.g. large fridge, hob, oven, and microwave, washing machine, some of which we didn't need (such as the dishwasher), plenty of storage space and good quality TVs in both the living room bit and the bedroom. The hotel was a 20+ minute walk from the proper centre of Budapest but close enough to the City Park, great restaurants, the opera house, some museums, buildings of note, etc. and transport links for it not to matter.
